About Dawn

Dawn Bennett Robson was born in Durham, North Carolina. She has also lived in Virginia, New York, and Florida, and currently resides in Salisbury, Maryland.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Salisbury University, where she graduated summa cum laude. While working as a newspaper editor, she wrote features articles and designed pages that earned Associated Press and Maryland/District of Columbia Press Association awards. She also worked as the manager of corporate communications for a Fortune 500 company and director of marketing for an international organization. I Hope I Die on the Dance Floor of the Jack Tar Hotel is her first book.
She is also the mother of three and a grandmother. She strives to be as loving and important to them as her own grandmother—the inimitable and indomitable Sugar—was to her.
